Dear Navigators and families,

Navigators Live! continues for one final week during our stay-at-home-pandemic time. I am grateful for all who have joined the Zoom meetings, as it has been good to see the teens, bring them together, and share the Good News of Jesus Christ with them.

In our concluding session of Navigators, Monday May 11 and Wednesday, May 13 (both times at 6pm), we will look at Sunday’s Gospel message, pray together, and play a review game.

Review Game for Quarter 4: March 1 – May Zoom Sessions

Many Navigators enjoy the review games we do in class, so I am going to offer an abbreviated version of this in our final session together. While I looked into Kahoot!, I am going to continue to use our Jeopardy-style review game on PowerPoint. Join in the fun on the Zoom if your teenager will allow you to join!

If you missed past Navigators Live! sessions, the recordings are available by contacting me. You will receive a link to an mp4 movie file in my Dropbox, not a link to YouTube, to respect the privacy of the teens. The video is only accessible with the link I will provide.

Due to an increase in security and the soaring popularity of Zoom, I am going to start using the password protection feature offered. Please use the links contained in the email to join the Zoom meetings…

Notes for parents:
1. I will have one or more adults joining this online meeting with the teens. You are welcome to join as well with your Navigator.
2. The online meeting will be recorded and stored within the BCRE files, only accessible through the email links provided in future messages.

Please have your teen prepare for Navigators Live! by doing two things:
1. Download this week’s Gospel Weekly HERE (or use the blue button below)
2. Email me in advance if your teen wishes to do one of the readings

What is Next?
The Catholic Community of Billerica continues to be committed to continuing to sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ as best we can.

Teen Leadership Community (TLC)

Mr. Carbrello is going to offer a series of Zoom gatherings to train youth leaders in our Church community for whatever the future is bringing us – a new springtime. Mixing prayer, bible reflections, and opportunities for discussion, it will be a series of leadership trainings – practical applications of our faith to prepare our teens for service to our church as teen leaders! Please sign up here.

TLC High School (Gr. 9-12) will be on Sundays at 4:00pm starting May 17
TLC Navigators (Gr. 7-8) will be on Mondays at 6:00pm starting May 18

Altaration – Wednesday May 6, and following Wednesdays, 8:00-9:00pm

Join Ascension Press for a quick, fun 4-part series on the Mass with Mark Hart and Emily Wilson with music, games, and inspiration. Now that we cannot attend public Masses, we have an opportunity to reconsider the awesome gift that we have in the Mass- and how easy it is to take for granted.

Join the Ascension Press live video on their Facebook page – use this link.

After, we’ll gather for a BCRE Zoom to talk about what we thought of Altaration:
