Summer Confirmation 1 Make Up

The Catholic Community of Billerica is offering a new program this summer for high school students from the classes of 2020 and 2021 who have not received the sacrament of Confirmation and who did not participate in our Confirmation 1 classes during the past year.

We want as many teens as possible to grow in our Catholic faith, but sometimes, families miss the opportunity to begin the process of preparing for Confirmation.

We are excited to announce a summer Confirmation 1 catch-up program.  Completing our summer program will allow all participants to continue in our Confirmation 2 program during the 2018-2019 school year.  The Sacrament of Confirmation will be offered in Billerica during the spring of 2019 in April, May, and June.

We will be offering the summer Confirmation 1 catch up program on Sundays from 11:00am-12:30pm, Mondays 6:30-8:00pm, and Tuesdays 6:30-8:00pm.  Each day will be held in the air-conditioned St. Theresa Hall in Billerica Center – a total of 15 sessions. The dates will be: July 15-17, July 22-24, July 29-31, August 5-7, and August 12-14.  Students may miss up to three sessions without the need for makeup work. We anticipate that a participant may not make some sessions due to family vacations and plans.

For more information, or to register, please contact the Billerica Catholic Religious Education Office at 978-667-3733 and ask for Jim (x447) or Tony (x445).

The registration deadline is Monday, July 2.

The cost is $135 and you may sign up online, download the form, or stop by the Billerica Catholic Religious Education Office, located behind St. Theresa Church, at 470R Boston Road in Billerica center.  Do not let a financial situation delay your registration, a payment plan can be arranged.  Speak to the BCRE Office Manager regarding this matter.

Note: this program is not for students in the high school class of 2022 (completing 8th grade in 2018) nor should students in the class of 2022 presume that we will be offering this program in the summer of 2019. Those teens should be registered for our Confirmation 1 program in the 2018-2019 year.
